Enchanted Review

The above trailer does a good job of explaining exactly what happens in this latest Disney DVD release. The princess played by Amy Adams is thrown into the real world by the typical evil watch and as you would expect, her handsome prince played by James Marsden embarks on a mission to save her from the clutches of the real world.

In Enchanted, the latest new DVD release there are a number of cameo appearances and some of the exploits of the divy princess are amusing albeit unrealistic. Do not be fooled by the animated start to the DVD to the rest of the film is played by real actors rather than a gifted cartoonist drawing pictures. 

The plot is another area this be examined whether it is worth buying Enchanted on DVD. This latest new DVD release has a number of issues that might affect whether you buy it on DVD. Firstly, the plot is predictable from start to finish and ending itself can be predicted a long time before the end. However, in way it was the ending that everyone wanted. Unsurprisingly, there is no new ending available on the Enchanted DVD.

For those of you who enjoy musicals you will be playing this DVD over and over again for weeks. Some of the songs are very memorable and easy to sing along to. However, for those of you, like me, who do not enjoy musicals it is not worth buying this latest new release on DVD. Moreover, do not buy the DVD for other family members because they will repeat it over and over again.

While there is mild fantasy violence there is nothing to deter children. This would be the ideal kid’s DVD. It is packed with happiness, songs and anything else you could want from a kid’s DVD release. Teenage girls are another demographic that are likely to enjoy the DVD.

Overall, although this film is not for me there are a lot of people who really enjoy it. The DVD is packed with songs to sing over and over again. As this latest new DVD release was released some people were rushing to buy it from the shops suggesting it appeals to many. If you are into musicals then you will enjoy this latest new DVD release. If you do not then I would steer clear of buying Enchanted for yourself or anyone else.
